"I'm
getting in shape for my wedding!"
As a result of working full-time, going to graduate school part-time and
planning a wedding, something had to give. What gave were my health and the
appearance of my body. I was used to going to work, then school and then on
the way home picking up fast food for dinner.
This lifestyle caught up with
me really fast and I couldn’t stand to squeeze into my clothes that once fit
comfortably. I also wanted to look my best for the wedding.
I knew that I had to do something. I was resistant at first to hiring a
trainer but I eventually saw the need for one. I needed some guidance as to
what to eat, how to work out and how many times a week I needed to work out.
I had no clue as to how many calories I am supposed to take in daily. Diane
assessed my health, took measurements, and set obtainable goals for me to
reach. I kept a daily food log, which she reviewed every time we met. By
doing this she saw the areas that I was lacking and gave me advice on ways
that I can improve them.
After 6 weeks of training,
I lost 5 pounds of bodyfat and gained 7 pounds of
muscle. She also encouraged me to run a 5k, which I thought I would never
do! I finished it and am looking forward to running more. I would recommend
her to anyone who needs help with their diet and learning the basics of
training. I personally am going to continue training with Diane. She is very
encouraging and you can tell she loves what she does. The information that
she has given me is invaluable.
